Eggy Party looks simple β€” race to the finish, don't fall off β€” but there's a surprising amount of skill expression. After playing through all the current maps and modes, here are 10 tips that will instantly make you better.

1. Master the Dive Roll

When you dive (press the dive button mid-air) and land on a slope, you automatically roll forward without losing speed. This is the single most important technique. Use it on every downhill section to gain a free speed boost.

Practice this on the first ramp of Sunflower Sprint β€” you should be able to chain 3-4 rolls across the entire downhill section.

2. Learn the Map Layouts

Each map has alternate routes and shortcuts. On Frozen Peak, for example, the middle path on the ice slide section is actually faster than hugging the wall like most new players do. On Candy Arena, jumping over the first barrier instead of going around it saves about 2 seconds.

We've mapped out all shortcuts on our Maps page β€” worth studying before jumping into ranked.

3. Items Are Priority #1

Never skip an item box if you're within grabbing distance. Even a "bad" item can be used defensively. The Magnet is especially useful β€” it pulls nearby coins toward you, which helps build your special meter faster.

4. Play Survival Mode for Practice

Survival mode forces you to dodge obstacles without the pressure of racing. It's excellent for learning map layouts and practicing precise movement. Most top-ranked players grind Survival Mode for at least 30 minutes before touching Ranked.

5. Don't Waste Your Special

Your special ability charges over time and from collecting coins. Don't use it the moment it's ready. Save it for sections where it actually matters β€” a long straightaway, a tight obstacle cluster, or the final 10 seconds of a close race.

6. Feather Bouncing

If you jump at the exact moment you hit a feather pad, you get slightly more height and distance. The timing is tight, but once you get it consistently, you'll clear gaps that other players have to take the long way around.

7. Outfit Stats Matter Less Than You Think

Every outfit has minor stat bonuses, but the difference between a common and rare outfit is maybe 1-2% speed. Focus on unlocking outfits you like aesthetically β€” the skill gap between players is 10x bigger than the gear gap. Check our Outfits page to see which ones are worth grinding for.

8. Watch the Minimap

The minimap shows you where other players are relative to you. If you see someone catching up on a section where you usually struggle, you can adjust your approach β€” take a riskier shortcut, or save an item to block them.

9. Daily Missions Are Worth It

Even if you only have 10 minutes to play, do your daily missions. They give coins, outfit shards, and special currency. Over a month, that's roughly one free outfit and enough coins for 20+ item crates.

10. Play With Friends

Eggy Party has built-in team modes where you can revive each other. Playing with even one friend doubles your chances of winning rounds, which means more coins and faster progression. Join the official Eggy Discord to find teammates if you don't have friends playing yet.
